CaRu Entertainment and the Philadelphia Fight welcomed 15 members to the 2011 Philadelphia Fight Vixens Dance Team on Sunday. Along with seven returning veterans from both the 2009 and 2010 seasons, the Fight Vixens selected eight new faces to be a part of the upcoming 2011 Fight season.
CaRu Entertainment's Founder and Artistic Director, Cassie Russo, started off the evening with a grueling warm-up to get the girls ready for Vixens coach and choreographer, Heather Grasso, who is back for her second season. Grasso gave the girls a taste of the Vixens dance style and candidates then performed for a panel of judges. For the first time in Vixens history, the panel included a returning Vixens Captain. Veteran and 2010 Captain Meghan Lorraine joined the ranks of judges to help select the new team.
Dancers were chosen based on dance technique, showmanship and physical appearance. The auditions had a strong turn out, allowing the panel to choose the largest team in the Fight Vixens three year history.
The Auditions were held at the official indoor training facility of the Fight, Suburban Sports Training Center, located at 1032 Conshohocken Road, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
