Fight Captain Phil Shipos brings down a Boston 13s player along with winger Patrick Cox.
Fight Captain and 5/8th Phil Shipos was chosen the Kildare's Irish Pub man of the match vs. the Aston Bulls in our quarter final playoff loss. Phil in his first year with the Fight since joining us from the Sharks was outstanding both in attack and defense.
He was the only player to play the entire game and all of overtime. Phil led from the front and never stopped like he has done all season.
Phil put players through holes and distributed the ball well to our backs while making a number of clean breaks for himself. He was the first in defense to take on many of the Bulls big men in the middle, and helped keep us in the game.
Congratulations to Phil , he will receive a $50 gift card to use at Kildare's Irish Pub in Manayunk at any time.
